Four more days until I depart for a top-secret, well-concealed, high-level, for-my-eyes-only military facility with hundreds of other recruits to begin our covert ops training for the organisation known only as...THE COMPANY.

An organisation whose name strikes fear and despair into the hearts of Singaporean males who have come of age and are required to serve it, to carry out its orders unfailingly and unquestioningly.

An organisation which is responsible for transforming scrawny, skinny lads (like yours truly) into lean, mean, fighting machines by using a technique so controversial, it's caused...ummmmm...a lot of controversy. Yeah.

An organisation from which there is NO ESCAPE.

Hooo-weeee, that sure beat just saying," I'm enlisting in four days time."
