Today was the last day of my teaching stint, and I've got a feeling it really is, because I doubt that the school will call me to come down and teach anymore, what with my NS coming up in a couple of weeks.

I said my necessary goodbyes to my students and my Scouts, and it was kinda amusing to see some of them get all weepy over my departure. Considering the fact that I'm pretty strict with them, "weepy" ain't exactly one of the reactions I was expecting; more like "celebration" or "jubilation." Oh well. Takes many trees to make a forest, now doesn't it?

I did have a hard time saying goodbye to one of the teachers, who has been the only company I've had during my two weeks there, and probably one of the few people who matter to me at that school. But goodbyes were never meant to be easy, were they? I forced myself to man up and say what I had to.

And I walked away, and never looked back.
